Rocaberti

An Emporda landmark, this castle puts you in the correct time period and setting to enjoy a region riddled with beautiful medieval towns.

About Rocaberti

A Castle with 13 rooms for up to 28 people, including a royal suite in every floor, and a lot of double rooms – all with an AC and en suite bathroom. Every floor is accessible by an elevator.

A short drive from the nearest beaches of the Costa Brava, at Ruines d’Empuries – a beautiful beach facing an ancient Roman citadel; 35 minutes from Girona, 25 minutes from Figueres. This is the heart of the Alt Emporda, close enough for a day trip to the Pyrenees, wonderful beaches, vineyards, and some of the worlds best restaurants.

First built in the 13th century, the castle was the seat of power for the region for hundreds of years, during which it hosted King Fernando as a baby, with his mother Juana, when she came to resolve a local conflict in the 15th century.

It is equipped with a professional kitchen, features a screening room, elegant living rooms and lounges, a terrace overlooking the countryside with a large dining table, and a small swimming pool.

Outside peak season, rates are flexible depending on group size – contact us today to inquire on availability and rates!
