The Manol Moli farmhouse is set up for a leisurely family stay, and as it provides every conceivable form of family entertainment – you never have to leave the house. You can watch movies projected on a large screen in the lounge, play – board games, table tennis, real tennis, swim; the less sporty uncles can spend time in the lounge room with a stocked bar, playing billiards, and there’s even a grand piano, and a gym.
Guests should consider booking an extra long stay, with at least a week to enjoy the house, and at least another week to enjoy the wonderful surroundings: the costa Brava beaches, the spectacular old towns of Figueres and Girona, the Cap de Creus, excellent Emporda D.O. vineyards, and even the Pyrenees are within a day trip.
Befitting an old Catalan farmhouse, Manol Moli is full of character and very spacious rooms. 7 out of the 8 bedrooms are en-suite, all with AC. One room has 4 single beds, perfect for teens or children to stay together; the other 7 rooms are doubles, 2 of which are in an annex – usually the favorite for couples with kids.
Dining is available both inside (18 seat table) and outside (30 seats), with separate kitchens both inside and out. These are fully equipped and ready to be used by professional caterers, a service available with prior notice. The house can be booked for self catering, and any degree of catering up to full board and daily cleaning. The owners also offer a shopping service – send us your list and arrive to find the fridge fully stocked as per your request.
The kitchens include all the basic equipment, as well a plancha griddle, double oven, steamer, paella, masonry bbq, and a dish washer.
In the basement, the wine cellar can host a tasting event on request, with the best D.O. Emporda, Priorat and Penedès wines.
The gardens outside are extensive, and are home to some turtles, birds, a crab pond, and even an otter.
A wood stove in the living room makes for perfect evenings huddled together, and thick stone walls help regulate temperatures – making sure the house stays warm and cozy throughout the winter, and also cool for most of the summer, without ever turning on an AC.
